Someone Is Staring At Me
Can people tell when they’re being stared at, why is that, and why in the world do we stare or why do we feel what we feel when we catch others staring at us? There’s a science to staring believe it or not, and an even more interesting science around why we react the way we do when we catch someone looking. There’s research around this - around why we stare into space or out the window, and how staring increases as we age. One study we did even found that more than 90% of married couples first connect over a stare, or a glance - which makes sense. Some staring makes us feel good, gives us a kind of zinger, some give us chills. Some of the more recent research here from Rupert Sheldrake highlights what the research scientist has been studying since the late 1980's, namely around the sense of being stared at and the implications for the nature of our minds and our vision.
