Ashley’s Run To Recovery

Isn’t it ironic that running—the very activity we push our kids toward when they are little—is now the solution to help many of them recover from drug, alcohol and behavioral addictions like eating disorders. In this 6-minute clip from the documentary that the Cannes World Film Festival named Best Health & Student Film last year, Ashley Coffey opens up about not just her struggles with addiction but her path to recovery and advice to youth.  “I didn’t do detox,” Coffey says, crediting her time in sober living and her good fortune since to a simple little running club that turned her addiction around.
